3rd Global Digital Trade Expo

The Third Global Digital Trade Expo was held at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center from 25 to 29 Sep 2024. The prestigious conference was organized by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province and the Ministry of Commerce, hosted by the Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government, the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, and the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce. Digital trade has surged, becoming a new trend in international trade development and an engine for economic growth. It has accelerated the integration and optimization of global industrial chain, supply chain, and value chain, significantly reducing trade costs and injecting new momentum into global economic recovery and growth.

At this highly anticipated expo, Laboratory for AI-Powered Financial Technologies was invited to participate in the exhibition. Prof. Houmin Yan, Director of AIFT, was invited to attend the “Digital Service Trade Innovation Industry Matchmaking Conference” and delivered an exciting keynote speech on “Research and Development of Laboratory for AI-Powered Financial Technologies.” Prof. Yan presented the data on the scale of China’s cross-border e-commerce market, offering attendees a more intuitive understanding of the development in this field. The first-phase risk control model of AIFT is based on multi-source heterogeneous data and machine learning methods, utilizing techniques such as principal component analysis, clustering, and random models, validated through backtesting. Significant progress has also been made in the development of structured risk control models.

Furthermore, AIFT has independently developed multimodal large language models, including financial large language models, influence large language models, time series large language models, e-commerce large language models, etc., with rich application scenarios such as AI financial investment advisors, social media content assistants, supply chain financial assistants, AI e-commerce assistants, Web3 advisors, and more.

As one of over 1,500 exhibitors, AIFT’s booth showcased various solutions and research achievements in financial technology. Dr. Xiezhong Chen, Senior Researcher, and Ms. Alina Li, Senior Manager, Development, participated in the opening ceremony of the expo and actively engaged in discussions with clients onsite.
