A seminar titled “DeFi Regulation Necessity and Implementation Paths” was held on 15 Oct 2024. It addressed the growing importance of regulating decentralized finance (DeFi) in light of its rapid expansion and the emergence of decentralized wallets and applications. Joe Zhou, CEO of Beosin, shared expert insights on the necessity of DeFi regulation and discussed potential implementation strategies, drawing from his extensive expertise in Web3 compliance and security technology, as well as his experience in renowned financial institutions, government regulatory bodies and blockchain companies, including the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), OSL, HashKey and OKX.
