Computational Communication Research in the AIGC Era

Dr. Xiaofan Liu and Dr. Yafei Zhang were invited to attend a research seminar discussing Computational Communication Research in the AI Generated Content (AIGC) Era, at Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai from 5 Jul to 7 Jul 2023.
AIGC has recently received extensive attention with emergence of Large Language Models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT. The seminar aimed to explore the potential of AIGC within the field of Computational Communication. During the seminar, they discussed topics such as copyright issues and ethical considerations regarding algorithmic musical composition. The participants expressed optimism about the future of AIGC, but also emphasised the importance of responsible practices to ensure its overall positive impact.
