THE ROLE
The Laboratory for AI-Powered Financial Technologies Limited (AIFT) aims to be a leading research center on the financial technologies and services. We are seeking for passionate and talented Machine Learning Engineer – NLP to join our growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP, including techniques, algorithms, and models.
- Develop, implement, and optimize NLP models and algorithms, with a focus on improving accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Perform data analysis and feature engineering to enhance the performance of NLP models.
- Evaluate and benchmark different NLP models and algorithms, and provide recommendations based on performance metrics.
- Optimize and fine-tune NLP models for deployment in production environments.
- Document research findings, methodologies, and experimental results in technical reports and presentations.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in NLP and contribute to the knowledge sharing within the team.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of working and/or research experience in the field of Machine Learning.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language.
- In-depth understanding of NLP concepts, techniques, and algorithms.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex data.
- Familiarity with Linux environment and experience working with command-line tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Recommended experience in parallel computing to leverage distributed systems for training and optimizing NLP models.
- Recommended experience in implementing and fine-tuning NLP models, such as Bloom, LLaMA, BERT, LSTM, and Transformer.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Assistant ML Engineer – NLP.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
