THE ROLE
The Laboratory for AI-Powered Financial Technologies Limited (AIFT) aims to be a leading research center on the financial technologies and services. We are seeking for passionate and talented Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct research and development of machine learning models in domains such as NLP, recommendation systems, and time-series forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, requirements, and success criteria.
- Explore and evaluate state-of-the-art algorithms, techniques, and frameworks for machine learning model development.
- Design and implement scalable and efficient machine learning models that meet business objectives.
- Preprocess and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful features and insights.
- Train, validate, and fine-tune machine learning models using appropriate evaluation metrics.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed models, and make necessary improvements and refinements.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and maintain data infrastructure, tools, and frameworks.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of working and/or research experience in the field of Machine Learning.
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, techniques, and concepts.
- Proficiency in Python programming and popular machine learning libraries/frameworks, such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with Linux environment and experience working with command-line tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to process and analyze complex datasets.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis and evaluation metrics for machine learning models.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data visualization techniques.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Assistant ML Engineer.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
