THE ROLE
The Laboratory for AI-Powered Financial Technologies Limited (AIFT) aims to be a leading research center on the financial technologies and services. We are seeking for passionate and talented Software Engineer / Asst Software Engineer to join our growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enhance and maintain the existing platform (TypeScript and React frontend, Python and FastAPI backend) by implementing functional modifications, bug fixes, and new requirements.
- Assist with managing the end-to-end data pipeline with thorough validation, cleaning, transformation, and ongoing updates of client and transaction performance data.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of a robust, high-performance, production-grade Python-based simulation and analytics components (Monte-Carlo simulations, financial modelling, multiprocessing).
- Coordinate with the supervisors and cross-functional teams to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
- Explore the cutting edge FinTech solution empowered by Big Data, artificial intelligence, LLM, and modern financial technologies and tools.
- Knowledgeable on Fintech development in the leading areas in the industry.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency and hands-on experience in TypeScript, React, and Ant Design (AntD) with solid full-stack development skills (frontend and backend). Prior experience with financial or transaction platforms will be highly advantageous.
- Proficiency and hands-on experience with Python.
- Knowledge in database systems (SQL and NoSQL), data validation, reconciliation, and pipeline management; exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong command of data tools and scripting (Python, ETL processes, data quality frameworks).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge and experience with system architecture and system deployment is a plus.
- Familiarity with LLM applications is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with a strong academic background in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or related fields) from a recognized institute / university.
- Good command in both verbal and written English and Chinese.
